Disability Pride Month Speaker

Photo of Si Hart, a tall man with messy dark blonde hair and a light and dark blue striped t-shirt, over a Disability Pride flag (pastel red, yellow, white, sky blue and green diagonal stripes against a dark grey background). Diagonal white caption reads: Disability Month Month 2024. Speaker on Type 1 Diabetes and late-diagnosed ADHD, Si Hart.

Do you need a speaker about type 1 diabetes, recovery from road accidents, or late-diagnosed ADHD? Introducing Si Hart from Ausome Charlie Ltd.

Si bounced back from serious motorcycle accidents in his 20s, which left him with disabilities including type 1 diabetes and limited mobility. Following a patchwork career which included motorcycle instructor, insolvency, and IT, Si was diagnosed in his 40s with severe combined-type ADHD. Now leaning into his highly-focused interests, Si is lead guitarist and band manager for bands including Definitely Britpop, Snap Crackle and Britpop, and BLURry. He is also a knowledgeable and passionate disability educator and neurodiversity advocate.

‘Si was the first disability advocate I ever met, talking about his recovery from motorcycle accident injuries and managing his type 1 diabetes, with insight and humour’. Charlie Hart, Ausome Charlie Ltd.
