International Women’s Day 2025

Today is International Women’s Day, and I am ALWAYS reticent to post about this, as I never want to risk leaving anybody out, but here is something I have been meaning to post all week (my workload has been hectic this week).

Last Thursday evening in London, I was involved in the fourth ND Leaders event, organised by the wonderful Lucy Hobbs, founder of The Future is ND.

What an incredible event! Lucy gave me the opportunity to introduce the speakers, which was a great experience. I have never compered an event before, but I rose to the challenge and loved every minute! I would love to do more of this, if anybody needs an amusing neurodivergent event emcee?

These were not your typical neurodiversity inclusion speeches, with overused clichés, oh no; these speakers focused on creativity, originality, changing your mind, doing things differently, forging your own path. I found these speakers insightful, entertaining, and freshly inspiring! My brain has been fizzing with creativity ever since. I have so many takeaways, you’ll need to read the event write-up, but the speakers were all incredible.

Thank-you for inspiring me, Lucy Hobbs, Nancy Doyle, and Adah Parris, you are fabulous women and it is a true pleasure to know you.
