Charlie Hart, also known as ‘Ausome Charlie’ (she/they) is a professional keynote speaker, HR Analyst, and neurodiversity advocate. Charlie is neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, Complex PTSD), bisexual/pansexual and gender non-conforming. Charlie’s talks centre lived experience stories and insights, underpinned with expertise in human resources and employment legislation, delivered with authentically neurodivergent quirkiness and humour. Unafraid to tackle emotive topics other speakers avoid, Charlie is not another happy-flappy neurodiversity advocate; she speaks of dark clouds and silver linings, of adversity and resilience, and will leave you inspired and optimistic, with pragmatic takeaways.
Charlie Hart is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Assoc.CIPD), and a Professional Member of the Professional Speaking Association (MPSA) and the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals. Charlie lives near Birmingham, England, and is delighted to travel for in person events. Most of her work is corporate, and she offers keynote speeches, lunch and learns, panels, and workshops.
‘Charlie delivered a powerful and insightful session that added meaningful context to conversations around neurodiversity. The talk successfully debunked common stereotypes and reinforced the importance of returning to the social model of disability. There was so much to gain for both neurodiverse and neurotypical colleagues alike – from practical understanding to fostering a more inclusive workplace culture. A truly impactful and thought-provoking discussion!’

Our Equity Committee at PixelSpoke, a worker-owned cooperative and digital marketing agency for credit unions and community banks, engaged Ausome Charlie for one of our quarterly equity workshops. From our first communication, Charlie was responsive, engaged, and approached our conversation with curiosity. We collaboratively created an interactive session that tapped into Charlie’s vast expertise and lived experiences with neurodiversity. The session engaged our entire team—including Management and Leadership—to build a shared understanding of neurodiversity, with a focus on communication and better connection in the workplace. Our annual equity survey demonstrated it to be one of the most appreciated and engaging sessions of the year. Ausome Charlie provided concrete takeaways and actions to continue our work in creating a more inclusive environment. We hope to work with Ausome Charlie again to build on the knowledge and action steps from our first workshop together.
